DIY Sweet Lips-Scrub

SO excited for this post! I love lip scrubs but I always think they’re so expensive. So I did some research on how to make them and mixed a few recipes I found together to make this one. Its so quick and it just uses things you can find in your kitchen. And it really works!

DSC01308
You will need some about a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of olive oil, two or three teaspoons of sugar and a little jar or container to hold the lip-scrub once you’re done.
DSC01309
Mix the sugar in with the honey and add a few drops of olive oil in and mix until its a thick mixture. (I know this photo is messy, but hey, stirring isn’t neat work!)

Once you’re done mixing, spoon the mixture into your jar. I left mine in the fridge over-night just so it was easier to apply but that’s your choice.

And the best part? You can even eat it if you really want!

Enjoy!

Dreamy Coffee Chocolate Icing

Last week I posted my favourite cupcake recipe but I didn’t add how to make the icing. For me icing is one of those things that I never really follow a recipe for, but here’s what I used to make the icing.

  • Icing sugar (1 cup)
  • Butter (add amount depending on the consistency you want)
  • Milk (add amount depending on the consistency you want)
  • 3 tablespoons of coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa

You have to stir the icing very vigorously to ensure that no lumps form. Ice the cakes using a piping bag or bottle or just spread it on with a butter knife.

Enjoy!

DIY Sequin Washi-Tape

I thought of a cool way to prettify anything with some sparkly sequin washi-tape. Here’s how to make it.

DSC01209
You will need: Large sequins and some double-sided tape
DSC01213
Step 1: Cut a piece of tape the size of your choice and stick it down onto your surface. Rub it down well. Carefully peel off the paper backing. Step 2: Place the sequins onto the tape in a row until all the tape is covered.

When you’re done it should look something like this.

Some other ideas: Tie the book closed with string or twine to keep loose cuttings, recipes and photographs in place. You could stick an envelope to the back to store other things too.

And there we go! Your own recipe book!
