10-Minute Flop-Proof Chocolate (Oil) Cupcakes

These are divine and definitely my favourite cake recipe of all time. Making them is super-quick and easy.


  • 5-6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of oil
  •  2 cups of self-raising flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 2/4 cup of boiling water


  • Pre-heat your oven to 180°/C
  • Beat the eggs and the sugar until creamy
  • Sift in dry ingredients
  • Fold in the oil and boiling water
  • Pour batter into a (lined) muffin tray
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes
  • Enjoy!
